Federico Chiesa revealed Liverpool's dressing room reaction to the Brentford defeat and we're not sure it's what you want to here. It seems the Reds were mostly silent after falling to a 3-2 defeat.
“No-one was speaking, because afterwards everyone knows," he said, per the Liverpool Echo. "Sometimes you don’t have to speak about the situation, you know what’s going on.
“So no-one spoke because we have to think about what we can do better. Usually when we are in this situation, the first thing that comes to your mind is to give more, train harder.
“It was good that after the game we didn’t talk because it’s a sign that everyone wants to change. Everyone wants to change the situation.
“Afterwards we went to the bus and then we started to talk about the situation and everyone wants to turn things around."
Is silence the right attitude? Everyone's different but it does feel a little defeatist. Especially as Liverpool were simply outplayed in this one - it wasn't a case of Brentford stealing a win.
No one will complain if the Reds do bounce back and find their feet once again. But it doesn't feel like the right atmosphere for this situation. Immediate silence simply feels like almost acceptance.
At least, that's how it feels from the outside. Let's see if the important reaction, on the pitch, comes against Crystal Palace or Aston Villa.
