Isaac Allan close to Hebburn Town loan return after promotion-winning spell | OneFootball

Sunderland goalkeeper Isaac Allan is closing in on a loan return to Hebburn Town ahead of the new season.

Sunderland Echo understands the two clubs are working on another temporary move for the former Lincoln City youngster.

Allan played a key role as Hebburn won the Northern Premier League title and secured promotion to National League North, gaining valuable senior experience.

A return would allow him to develop at a higher level in a familiar set-up where he has already established himself. Hebburn, preparing for National League North, are keen to bring him back.

The move would also suit Sunderland, with regular competitive minutes viewed as vital for young goalkeepers. He could train during the week within the club’s academy while testing himself consistently in senior football.

No agreement has been finalised, but talks are progressing over a second spell. Allan joined Sunderland after leaving Lincoln City and is highly regarded at the Academy of Light after last season’s displays.
