Sunderland have appointed Jack Bewley as a first-team analyst under Régis Le Bris, adding to the Academy of Light staff following promotion to the Premier League.
In a LinkedIn post, Bewley said he was delighted to accept the role, grateful for the chance to develop in an elite environment, and eager to contribute. He added that he will complete an MSc in Sport Performance Analysis with the University of Worcester alongside the job.
Bewley arrives from Rochdale, where he worked as a first-team analyst intern during the 2025-26 season. He previously gained experience as a set-piece analyst intern at Norwich City, and has also worked in performance analysis with FC Marshalls.
The Liverpool John Moores University graduate studied Science and Football, achieving a two-one, and will continue his development within Sunderland’s performance set-up.
The Black Cats are continuing to build off the pitch, having advertised a senior analyst role as they expand their analysis resources. The club accept that Premier League demands extend to staffing, infrastructure and preparation. Le Bris’ side host Chelsea at the Stadium of Light this weekend with European qualification at stake.
