Now that Liverpool have been knocked out of the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain, they can no longer add any trophies to their cabinet.
The Champions League was the Reds' last hope of earning some silverware with the Anfield outfit already being knocked out of the other competitions.
A trophyless season isn't something that Liverpool fans are used to after spending years with Jurgen Klopp at the helm so it's hardly surprising to see fans wonder whether Slot is right for their club.
As mentioned, several decent options are available on the manager market at the moment but, after this fresh update from Carragher, it doesn't feel like Slot is going to be going anywhere.
"Arne Slot’s job has been spoken about all season. We’ve spoken about it a lot on Monday Night Football," he said in quotes relayed by Sky Sports.
"There’s probably a split in the Liverpool supporters over whether he should stay or go.
"The noises I am hearing is Slot will be the Liverpool manager next season if they can secure Champions League qualification, which they look like doing right now."
