Javi Guerra impressed on his Spain debut in the 1-1 friendly against Iraq at Riazor. According to Superdeporte, the Valencia midfielder made a strong impression on the national set-up.

Head coach Luis de la Fuente was left very satisfied with his attitude in training and during his minutes. In half an hour he completed 17 of 19 passes, 11 of 13 in the opposition half and six of six in his own, two of two dribbles, five losses, four of seven duels won and two fouls.
