Manchester United’s pursuit of talented Spanish midfielder under threat from AC Milan.
The Red Devils have been focusing on their attack at the start of the window but midfield is certainly an area Ruben Amorim would love to strengthen.
Christian Eriksen left the club as a free agent this summer and United have been linked to numerous replacements.
It is said that they are interested in the services of players like Ederson, Richard Rios and Andre.
The Red Devils have also been linked to a move for Valencia CF star, Javi Guerra in recent days.
It was suggested by Spanish media that the Red Devils were close to agreeing a deal but this never came to pass.
Guerra has also been attracting interest from other clubs and it has been reported by Football Italia that “Milan have reportedly resumed negotiations with Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra.”
The Italian giants have held interest in the midfielder for many weeks and it was stated that they have seen a €20 million bid rejected for him.
Nonetheless, with United’s name being thrown into the mix, Milan want to accelerate talks to land their target.
The website states that, “as they took their time and looked towards other options, largely Club Brugge talent Ardon Jashari, Milan risked missing out on the player to Manchester United.”
Now the Rossoneri are back in for the player and want to agree personal terms with him before attempting to reach a deal with Valencia.
The 22-year-old may be tempted into a move as he is said to be “growing frustrated” by his current club’s lack of proactivity in offering him a new deal.
