Jhonson in form, now second top scorer for Corinthians Feminino

With two goals scored against São Paulo, which secured Corinthians' victory in the first leg of the Paulista Women's semifinal, Jhonson climbed the team's scoring chart in 2025. Now, she has the same number as Vic Albuquerque, despite having played fewer games.

The number 40 jersey of the Brabas has already found the net 14 times this season, in 37 matches played. She is only behind Gabi Zanotti, the top scorer of the Libertadores, who has 18 goals in 39 games in 2025. The season only has, potentially, three more games, should Corinthians advance in the state championship.

Jhonson has been a nemesis for São Paulo and, with the return match set to take place at the Neo Química Arena, she could get even closer to the number 10. A possible final could happen against Ferroviária or Palmeiras, who are competing in the other semifinal of the competition.

Gabi Zanotti, in fact, might be absent for the Brabas in the return match. This is because the FPF scheduled the decision for two days after the end of the FIFA date, during which the number 10 was called up to represent the Brazilian National Team. In total, there are six call-ups of Corinthians players, five for Brazil and one for Venezuela.
