Jhonson shines in Majestoso, targets Paulista Feminino semi return

On the evening of this Saturday (22), Corinthians returned to the field for the Paulista Women's Championship. In a match valid for the first leg of the semifinals, at Arena Barueri, the Brabas visited São Paulo and, in a game where Lelê saved a penalty from the opponents, Timão secured a 2-1 victory. Both Corinthians goals were scored by Jhonson.

Right after the match, the top scorer of the day spoke with CazéTV, which broadcasted the classic, celebrating the performance and explaining the celebration of the second goal scored: “First of all, I thank God for the opportunity, for being able to score the winning goal for Coringão. Leaving with this advantage to decide at home is very good. Nothing is guaranteed, there's still a lot to train and improve. That's it... The dance (of the celebration) is from TikTok (laughs).”

Jhonson was also asked about the return match, which takes place at Neo Química Arena on the next December 4th – very close to the end of the FIFA date, which will make Corinthians risk deciding the spot in the Paulista final without up to six players, who will be defending their national teams (five with Brazil and one with Venezuela):

“We have many good players to come in, to make the change. I know they will come back very tired, but it's about staying focused. Training, we always trained... It's about entering with the same mindset we had in this one for the next. I won't say we'll be relaxed, because nothing is guaranteed. But we will enter focused, with our feet on the ground, and go for it.”
