Joe Walsh kept a third clean sheet in five league games in QPR's 0-0 draw with Charlton Athletic
QPR goalkeeper Joe Walsh thanked the supporters for their immense backing of the side in their 0-0 draw against London rivals Charlton Athletic on Friday night.
The shot stopper kept his third clean sheet in five matches, making five saves at the Valley in the process, having made his return from a wrist injury in January.
The 23-year-old started the campaign as first choice under new manager Julien Stéphan, but a broken wrist led to him missing three months of action.
Walsh made his comeback appearance in the FA Cup third round defeat in extra time to West Ham, and has gone straight back into the side in the weeks since.
He’s conceded four times in five league games in 2026, with the Hoops earning six points from a possible 15 with him back in the team.

Walsh has claimed that the support he received from the QPR away fans on Friday night was the best atmosphere he’d enjoyed in football.
He thanked the 3,000 fans who made the journey to the Valley, highlighting their performance in the 0-0 draw against the Addicks.
“It was brilliant [playing in front of the away fans in the first half],” said Walsh, via the club’s official X account.
“I had the conversation briefly with Jimmy [Dunne] before, do we flip them around.
“But luckily we didn’t because there was some atmosphere, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen an away end packed like that before.
“It was brilliant, they were right on top of you, so you heard everything, so it was lovely.
“I’m grateful to all the fans who made the trip.”
QPR have only lost one of their last six league fixtures, keeping them in contention for a play-off place this season.
Stéphan’s side remain in the top half of the Championship table with just 15 games remaining in the campaign, although the rest of the weekend’s matches have yet to be played.
The London outfit will be hoping to improve on the 15th place result they earned last season under Martí Cifuentes, and to potentially even challenge for a first play-off qualification since returning to the second division in 2015.
Next up for QPR is a home game against Blackburn Rovers on 14 February in a 3pm kick-off.

Walsh had a tricky start to the season, making the jump up to first-choice under Stéphan, particularly when he conceded seven in a loss to Coventry City in August.
But he has found his footing again with his return to the side, and he has now kept an impressive three clean sheets in five games.
The 0-0 draw against Charlton was a particularly notable performance, and he is proving himself quite dependable between the sticks now.
