Joe Walsh set the tone in the 31st minute with a sharp low save, underpinning Queens Park Rangers' 0-0 draw at Charlton Athletic.
That stop was swiftly followed by a reflex block from Conor Coady at close range (32.).
After the restart he parried Charlie Kelman's rising strike (47.). He then held Luke Chambers' drive (54.). Moments later, he got down to Lyndon Dykes' low effort (57.).
Walsh finished with five saves, four from inside the box, plus a punch and a high claim, evidence of assured handling when crosses and cut-backs asked questions.
His positioning behind a busy back line kept set pieces and second balls tidy, allowing Queens Park Rangers to reset and manage the pressure phases.
Queens Park Rangers rise from 11th to 10th and host Blackburn Rovers next. Charlton Athletic welcome Stoke City next.
