Liverpool will welcome Newcastle United at Anfield this Saturday as they look to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds managed to secure a dominant 6-0 win over Qarabag, which should give them a ton of confidence going into this game.
Arne Slot will set his players up in a 4-2-2-2 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this clash. Curtis Jones, Milos Kerkez and Ibrahima Konate could all play from the start of this game.
Alisson Becker will feature in between the sticks for the Merseyside club after he kept a clean sheet in his last appearance. Ibrahima Konate is a doubt for this game and should get a chance to impress alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the centre of Slot’s defence. Their main job would be to maintain a good shape on the defensive end of the field.
Dominik Szoboszlai will fill in as a makeshift right-back, while Milos Kerkez hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Andy Robertson will provide cover for the defensive positions on the Liverpool bench.

Curtis Jones will anchor the midfield along with Ryan Gravenberch as they look to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and engineer some decent chances in the final third.
Both Florian Wirtz and Alexis Mac Allister will operate as Slot’s attacking midfielders as they look to carry most of the creative burden in the final third.
Wataru Endo, Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they await their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if required.
Hugo Ekitike and Mohamed Salah will spearhead Slot’s attack. Both of them will have to combine well if the Reds are to threaten the Newcastle goal this weekend.
Federico Chiesa will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if the Reds are in need of a goal by then.
