Juventus continue Pellegrino talks with Parma, despite Crystal Palace push | OneFootball

Juventus are continuing talks with Parma for striker Mateo Pellegrino, despite an attempt by Crystal Palace to intercept, as the issue isn’t the €30m asking price.

The Bianconeri need reinforcements in attack after losing Dusan Vlahovic as a free agent, with Lois Openda and Jonathan David also on the market.

With negotiations dragging on for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani, Juve have turned their focus towards Parma hitman Pellegrino.

It had been reported that an opening proposal was rejected by Parma, but the talks are continuing to reach an agreement.

The problems are not so much the €30m price-tag as the formula, because Juventus wanted it to be a loan with option to buy, turning into an obligation if certain conditions are met.

Parma were not open to that, demanding more guarantees that the move would be made permanent and the timing of the payment too.

There is also an issue with the percentage of the fee that is owed to his former club, Velez Sarsfield.

The Ducali bought Pellegrino from Velez Sarsfield in February 2025 for just €1.64m, but owing them seven per cent of the future sale fee.

Last season, the 24-year-old scored 12 goals with one assist in 39 games for Parma between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

According to Sportitalia transfer pundit Gianluigi Longari, Crystal Palace made an attempt to intercept, but the player has his heart set on Juventus.
