Juventus have turned their attention back to David De Gea and Guglielmo Vicario after their pursuit of Liverpool’s Alisson hit a wall, while also making exploratory contact over Milan captain Mike Maignan as they seek to overhaul their goalkeeping situation this summer.

According to Corriere dello Sport, via MilanNews24, Vicario has been placed firmly back on the Bianconeri’s radar following Alisson’s unavailability and the complications surrounding a move for Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez.

Talks with Tottenham over the Italy international have reportedly included a discussion over left-back Destiny Udogie as a potential solution for the flank, a position that could open up should Cambiaso complete his expected exit from the club.

De Gea meanwhile remains in the frame, via FirenzeViola, with Juventus maintaining their interest in the Spaniard despite the number of options already being explored. Michele Di Gregorio’s difficult season has made a complete overhaul of the position a priority, and the club are clearly casting a wide net.

Maignan’s Milan future uncertain as Juventus revive interest in French goalkeeper

The most surprising development involves Maignan.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have made an exploratory enquiry for the Milan captain, whose long-term future at the club is now uncertain.

Especially following the departure of both Igli Tare and Massimiliano Allegri, the two figures who convinced him to sign a contract extension until 2031.

At this stage the contact amounts to nothing more than a sounding out, but the very fact Juventus are exploring it underlines how unsettled the situation at San Siro has become.
