Kaio César has arrived in Brazil to complete a move to Corinthians, touching down at Guarulhos at 16:55 on Monday, with medicals planned before signing.
According to Meu Timao, his arrival had been trailed on Sunday night, when he left Al-Hilal's match against Al-Riyadh and headed straight to the airport in the Saudi capital.
At the airport he said he was very happy to join a club like Corinthians and anxious to complete tests so he can be at the coach's disposal as soon as possible.
He explained he had a brief conversation with Dorival Júnior during negotiations and spoke with former Corinthians forward Malcom, who praised the size of the club and encouraged the move. Seeing the coach's desire to bring him in left him excited.
The agreement is a loan until December 2026, with Corinthians paying a fee and the player accepting reduced wages to join the Parque São Jorge side.
Short of minutes in a star-studded Al-Hilal squad, Kaio César has made 16 appearances this season, which began in August, starting six, with one goal and three assists. The right winger was a direct request from Dorival and is viewed internally as adding pace and depth. Before playing in Saudi football he featured for Coritiba and Vitória de Guimarães in Portugal.
Corinthians open their Campeonato Brasileiro campaign against Bahia at Vila Belmiro on Wednesday at 20:00. He is not expected to be involved, with the club aiming to have him for Sunday's Supercopa do Brasil.
