Kamada eyed by Milan and Fiorentina as Crystal Palace midfielder linked with Serie A return | OneFootball

Daichi Kamada is attracting significant Serie A interest as his Crystal Palace contract expires at the end of June, with both AC Milan and Fiorentina making enquiries about the Japanese midfielder who is currently one of the standout performers at the 2026 World Cup.

According to German outlet BILD, via MilanNews24, Milan have shown strong interest in bringing Kamada to San Siro on a free transfer, a move that would represent a reunion of sorts, given the two parties came close to an agreement in 2023 before the deal collapsed due to Milan’s change in ownership structure.

He instead joined Lazio, and has since moved to Crystal Palace where he won the Conference League and enjoyed an excellent season under Oliver Glasner.

Fiorentina also sounding out Kamada as World Cup goals reignite Serie A interest

Fiorentina sporting director Fabio Paratici has also made exploratory contact over a potential move, according to Matteo Moretto, via LaLazioSiamoNoi, though any serious negotiations are expected to wait until Kamada’s World Cup campaign concludes.

The midfielder has been outstanding for Japan in the group stage, scoring a last-minute equaliser against the Netherlands and netting the fastest goal in Japanese World Cup history against Tunisia after just four minutes.

Kamada currently earns approximately €5.45 million per season at Palace.

His availability as a free agent makes the operation financially attractive, though his wages represent a significant commitment for either Italian club.
