La Lazio Siamo Noi reports that Lazio are monitoring River Plate striker Agustin Ruberto as they weigh changes to their forward options. The youngster had already been on their January shortlist.
Daniel Maldini earned an immediate starting berth under Maurizio Sarri, yet his future is unresolved, with an option to buy or a return to Atalanta still undecided.
Petar Ratkov has yet to convince. Tijjani Noslin and Boulaye Dia could leave in the summer. No Lazio player has more than three goals this season, underlining the need for reinforcements.
Ruberto, 20, plays for Argentina’s U20s and previously made 32 U17 appearances, scoring 25. He was promoted to River Plate’s first team in January 2024.
An ACL injury in February sidelined him for more than seven months. He has 21 senior appearances and two goals, with competition from Joaquín Freitas and Maximiliano Salas limiting minutes.
His contract is understood to include a €35 million release clause, and there has been no concrete approach from Lazio.
