Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri will have to make two mandatory changes to the starting lineup that will take the field in Parma, while also opting for a third switch.

Mario Gila Suspended for Parma vs Lazio Clash

The Biancocelesti settled for a 1-1 draw when they hosted Bologna last Sunday, and they ended the contest with 10 men following Mario Gila’s straight red card. The Spaniard was sent off for dissent, and while he risked a two-match ban, the sports judge only suspended him for one match.

Patric to Step in

With the 25-year-old ruled out for the trip to Parma, La Lazio Siamo Noi reveals that Sarri will field Patric in his stead. The Lazio stalwart is the obvious choice, given that he already replaced him following his dismissal last weekend.

The 32-year-old is a right-footed defender, just like Gila, hence why he will get the nod ahead of the left-footed Oliver Provstgaard, who’s considered Alessio Romagnoli’s natural understudy.

Matteo Cancellieri to Replace Injured Gustav Isaksen

Moreover, the draw against Bologna witnessed Gustav Isaksen’s injury. The Dane suffered a low-grade lesion, which saw him hooked at half-time in favor of Matteo Cancellieri, who made a timely return from injury. The Italian winger will thus earn his first start in almost two months, and it will ensue on a ground he’s all too familiar with, having played for Parma on loan last season.

Nuno Tavares Dropped After Another Stinker

In addition to these two compulsory changes, Sarri will also drop Nuno Tavares from the lineup following another woeful display. Luca Pellegrini, who missed the previous contest due to his son’s birth, should reclaim his spot at left-back, with Adam Marusic maintaining his role on the opposite flank.

The rest of the lineup should remain intact, with Danilo Cataldi operating between Matteo Guendouzi and Toma Basic in midfield, and Taty Castellanos spearheading the attack, with club captain Mattia Zaccagni to his left.
