Alan Dudman's League One Tips

Plymouth Argyle v Doncaster Rovers: Back Plymouth @ 10/11 Match Odds 90

Plymouth produced one of the performances of the season a fortnight ago - slamming the leaders Cardiff 5-2. A slightly manic first-half saw Lorent Tolaj and Bim Pepple both net for the Greens, and those two are bang in form at the moment.

Cardiff were unbeaten at that stage in 12 and were blitzed, so of course Plymouth lost next time to struggling Rotherham but Tim Cleverly was without nine first-teamers and the depleted side offered very little in defeat.

The hosts will need top scorer Tolaj and midfielder Brendan Wiredu back, as both missed last weekend against the Millers, and this is the opponent to come back for as Donny have conceded 30 goals on the road.

Bradford City v Leyton Orient: Back Bradford @ 4/5

The perfect template for a team that gives bad goals away and makes too many mistakes would be Leyton Orient. Talent-wise there are some good attacking players in the team, but they concede a ton of goals and somehow have found themselves in relegation trouble.

Since New Year's Day, the O's have lost three times at Brisbane Road with the scoreline 1-3. They have been so poor they even were defeated by Port Vale.

I just cannot back the Londoners with any confidence at all home or away at the moment with the silly goals they are conceding.

Barnsley v Exeter City: Back Barnsley @ 5/6 Match Odds 90

There has been plenty of entertainment at Oakwell this season. Barnsley have won eight, lost five, conceded 25 and scored 32.

However, the recent goalfest for the Tykes ended on Tuesday with a miserable 0-1 home loss to Wycombe and a damning assessment from Connor Hourihane, who said it was one of the worst displays of the season and couldn't string two passes together. Michael Duff, now Wycombe manager, said the same thing about his team a month or so ago, and that's just symptomatic of this league with teams so wildly inconsistent.

It's why I am not putting too much faith in a dreadful display as Barnsley just seem incapable of kicking on after a good result or performance.

We have got 5/6 here against Exeter who haven't won a game since the 24th January. Hourihane needs to get some results and this is a great opportunity.

Alan Dudman's League Two tips

Salford City v Barnet: Back Salford @ 7/5

Salford have replicated last season, when poised for promotion but completely folded. They have done exactly the same - after a run of seven wins in nine matches, they have lost five of their last six League Two fixtures.

On Tuesday, Karl Robinson's side conceded three in nine first-half minutes and were dead and buried early.

Robbo might have one or two injuries to deal with as Kelly N'Mai came off with a hamstring injury, Ben Woodburn ended his night wearing a protective boot, and Ossama Ashley suffered an ankle injury.

Barnet are another team with absolutely no consistency. Won two, lost two from last four, and they nicked a 1-0 against Chesterfield on Saturday. Whether they can back up the result, who knows? I am going for Salford to bounce back.

Grimsby Town v Bromley: Back Grimsby to win @ 23/20

Bromley are still top in League Two, but for how long?

Cambridge and MK Dons are five and seven points behind with a game in hand, and while the Ravens haven't lost a game since late November, they are drawing too many.

They were expected to beat Oldham on Tuesday night at Hayes Lane and played out a 0-0, their second 0-0 in three games as they failed to score against lowly Harrogate.

That is not promotion form, and Grimsby are capable of excellence in flashes, but possess little consistency. They overcame the Salford press with a tactical switch from David Artell in midweek and they were fairly ruthless, and I give them more than a punchers' chance here.

Gillingham v Fleetwood Town: Back the draw @ 15/8

I played the Gillingham draw recently versus Oldham and they lost 0-3, with the fans chanting "you're not fit to wear the shirt" as they trudged off.

It was torrid stuff and Gareth Ainsworth, despite reverting to a four-man defence and a couple of changes, is still struggling to find a formula. I don't think he has the players, and while they beat Burton 0-1 on Saturday, they are not a good side.

Fleetwood nicked the reverse fixture in December with a 2-1 late goal winner on 85 minutes, and away from home have drawn four with F17 and A17.
