Daniel Farke has issued Leeds United’s latest fitness bulletin before Monday night’s Premier League trip to Everton, with Gabriel Gudmundsson a minor doubt and Jaka Bijol showing encouraging progress.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Gudmundsson missed training this week due to an adductor issue and has been held back from sessions, leaving a small question mark over his availability. Farke said the same group that was available for the last game is largely available again.
Anton Stach, who sat out the win over Fulham with a slight niggle, was partially integrated into team training with no reaction and could be available. Daniel James has taken part in elements of the last two sessions and is close to rejoining fully, though he still needs time before he is ready for games.
Centre-back Bijol missed last weekend with a hamstring strain that was initially feared could sideline him for up to five weeks. Rehab has begun and it appears to be trending towards the shorter end of the three to five week timeframe, with gym work already under way.
Farke hopes to have Bijol back in team training in two to three weeks. Leeds have the weekend off before facing Everton on Monday.
