Leeds rivals West Ham sign Venezuela winger Keiber Lamadrid on loan with option to buy | OneFootball

West Ham, one of Leeds United’s key Premier League rivals, have signed Venezuela international winger Keiber Lamadrid on loan for the rest of the season, with an option to buy in the summer, reportedly for around one million pounds.

The club said in a statement that the 22-year-old arrives from Venezuelan Super Cup holders Deportivo La Guaira, and that he has not played competitively since early December so will initially focus on conditioning.

Despite a 2-1 win at Tottenham last weekend, the Hammers remain in the relegation zone, eight points behind fifth-bottom Leeds and five adrift of Nottingham Forest.

In a bid to climb clear, they had already added attackers Pablo Felipe and Taty Castellanos for a combined outlay close to £50 million.

Lamadrid is a versatile midfielder and winger with one cap for Venezuela. He has made 103 appearances for Deportivo La Guaira, scoring 14 goals and supplying seven assists. He was named Best Under-23 Player in the Venezuelan top flight for the 2025 season.
