Lazio striker Taty Castellanos has a new suitor in the Premier League, as Leeds United reportedly joined the chase.
The Argentine has been the club’s ultimate first-choice centre-forward, but he was surprisingly dropped from the starting lineup in favor of Tijjani Noslin for Saturday’s contest against Udinese, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Many fans and observers considered it a market hint, suggesting that the 27-year-old is now destined to leave in January.

Even Maurizio Sarri had admitted that Castellanos might not be an ideal fit for his tactical system. The Lazio boss is reportedly dreaming about replacing the former Girona striker with Atletico Madrid’s Giacomo Raspadori, who is also a target for Roma. But first, it remains to be seen if the Biancocelesti can find a buyer for Castellanos.
According to Il Messaggero (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Leeds have revived their interest in the striker they once pursued in 2022. The Peacocks thus join fellow Premier League side, West Ham United, who have also been tracking the Argentine forward since the summer.
In recent days, Lazio reportedly turned down an offer from Flamengo for Castellanos, as it was deemed too low. The Italian capital side is only willing to negotiate bids starting from €25 million. Moreover, the player is not interested in a return to South America at this relatively early stage in his career, but intends to extend his experience in Europe.
