Leeds United’s final home game of the Premier League season, against Brighton at Elland Road, will be played on Sunday, 17 May with a three pm kick-off, live on Sky Sports.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the Sunday scheduling follows the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday, 16 May, with league matches adjusted to avoid a clash.

Leeds lost 1-0 to Chelsea in Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final, so they have no other commitments that weekend. Daniel Farke’s side will hope to have survival secured by then, allowing for a more relaxed farewell in front of home support.

The fixture keeps the traditional mid-afternoon slot, only moved back by 24 hours, and sits alongside three other televised matches at the same time. None of those involve a relegation rival.

The penultimate round is spread across several days, in part due to Manchester City and Chelsea contesting the FA Cup final. Nottingham Forest are due to visit Manchester United on either the Friday evening or Sunday lunchtime, depending on their Europa League progress.

West Ham also play on the Sunday at Newcastle, with a half past five kick-off. Tottenham travel to FA Cup finalists Chelsea in their penultimate match.
