Leeds v Brighton set for Sunday, live on Sky, final Elland Road outing | OneFootball

Leeds United’s final home match of the Premier League season against Brighton will take place on Sunday, May 17 with a 3pm kick-off. It will be shown live on Sky Sports.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the switch to Sunday follows the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday, May 16, with league fixtures moved to avoid a clash.

The match remains in the traditional 3pm slot, only 24 hours later than usual. As it is on a Sunday, the blackout does not apply and it is one of four simultaneous kick-offs that do not involve a relegation rival.

Leeds have no other commitments that weekend after Sunday’s 1-0 FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea. Daniel Farke’s side hope to have survival wrapped up by then.

The penultimate round has been spread across several days, in part due to the FA Cup final commitments of Manchester City and Chelsea. Nottingham Forest are scheduled to visit Manchester United on either the Friday evening or Sunday lunchtime, depending on their Europa League progress.

West Ham also travel to Newcastle on the Sunday, but that game kicks off at 5.30pm. With Tottenham away to FA Cup finalists Chelsea in their penultimate match, Roberto De Zerbi’s side are not in matchweek 37 action until Tuesday, May 19.
