Leicester City ‘make final offer’ to Russell Martin for manager role | OneFootball

Leicester City have submitted what is described as a final, lucrative offer to Russell Martin to become their manager, as they look to bring him to the King Power Stadium.

Martin has been on Leicester’s shortlist for several weeks, yet no agreement is in place as they prepare for life in League One. They hope to persuade him to relocate to the East Midlands.

Out of work since leaving Rangers, Martin is seeking a fresh opportunity and has options in Spain and in Italy. After a difficult spell in Scotland, his next job is a crucial chance to rebound.

He has been working as a pundit while awaiting his next step and is the bookmakers’ favourite for the role. Darren Ferguson remains second in the betting.

"I don't regret anything," he told BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club.

"It's my fault I didn't do well enough and you learn from it and I'll be better for it, for sure."
