Lino and André Rizek debate Flamengo’s role in Palmeiras negotiation | OneFootball

Flamengo’s bid for Jhon Arias sparked an on-air dispute, with Carlos Eduardo Lino condemning the tactic and André Rizek arguing the club had reason to unsettle Palmeiras.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo offered 22 million euros for the Wolves player even after signing Lucas Paquetá, a move Rizek said prompted Palmeiras to raise their offer to 25 million euros.

Lino questioned what Flamengo gained from entering the race solely to drive up the price, saying clubs should think as a league, respect Financial Fair Play and avoid inflating the market.

Arias is not set to join Flamengo, having reached an agreement to play for Palmeiras this year. The former Fluminense player is therefore expected to leave England in under a year.
