Juventus defender Gleison Bremer is firmly in the spotlight once again, with TeamTalk reporting growing Premier League interest. Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are all monitoring the Brazilian, and with his performances this season, it is no surprise.
At 28 years old, Bremer has matured into one of Serie A’s most reliable defenders. His ability to dominate aerially while maintaining calm distribution has made him invaluable to Juventus. As TeamTalk note, “The five-times capped Brazil defender has emerged as a leader at the back, combining aerial dominance with calm distribution – and we’ve been told the club’s hierarchy see him as irreplaceable in the short term.”

Juventus, determined to restore their dominance in Italy, have built their defensive foundation on Bremer’s consistency. He has played every minute of the season so far and his influence cannot be overstated.
Bremer is under contract until 2029, yet sources suggest the lure of England could be strong. As the original report highlights, “sources suggest the lure of a move to England could turn his head – particularly with the chance to elevate both his career and financial standing.”
Liverpool and Manchester United are particularly keen. Both clubs have been assessing defensive reinforcements, and Bremer’s name continues to feature prominently. Chelsea too, with their own rebuilding process, are firmly in the conversation.
Juventus have enjoyed a bright start to their campaign, including a 4-4 Champions League thriller with Borussia Dortmund and three wins from three in Serie A. Bremer’s role in keeping their structure intact has been vital. Since his arrival in 2022, he has made 93 appearances, with Juventus keeping 46 clean sheets in that time – almost one in every two games.
Still, there is awareness in Turin that the pressure from England will only intensify. TeamTalk’s Rudy Galetti reported how close Liverpool came to signing him last summer, and Juventus are “particularly wary of 2026 becoming ‘a flashpoint year’ and will work hard to ensure Bremer’s situation is secure before then.”
Liverpool supporters will feel a mixture of excitement and expectancy at this report. Defensive solidity has been a recurring discussion point, and with Arne Slot shaping a new era at Anfield, the addition of a proven defender like Bremer could provide the reassurance fans crave. His leadership, reading of the game and physical presence would complement Virgil van Dijk while preparing for a future beyond him.
United fans will also be intrigued. Their backline has been inconsistent in recent seasons and the idea of securing one of Serie A’s finest defenders would generate optimism. Yet, there is scepticism too, particularly given Juventus’ determination to resist approaches.
From a Juventus perspective, concern is the prevailing sentiment. Bremer has quickly become a cornerstone in Turin, and the thought of losing him to England is a scenario they cannot afford to entertain lightly. His contract until 2029 provides protection, but history suggests that Premier League clubs with financial muscle can test even the most robust positions.
For Chelsea, the report signals another potential target in their long-term rebuild. Whether they can outmanoeuvre rivals remains to be seen, but the Premier League competition ensures the Bremer story will run well beyond September.
