Liverpool open talks for Marc Guehi | OneFootball

Liverpool have opened talks with Crystal Palace to sign defender Marc Guéhi.

The England centre-back is in the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park with the club now open to selling the player to avoid letting him leave on a free next summer.

According to journalist Paul Joyce of The Times, a deal would cost the Reds between £30-£35 million although the player wants assurances of game time ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

The 25-year-old played 90 minutes against Liverpool at Wembley on Sunday before being taken off before extra-time.

After joining the Eagles from Chelsea in 2021, Guéhi has played 156 games for the club also chipping in with eight goals.

Guéhi is not the only defender on Liverpool's radar with the Premier League champions also having been linked with a move for young Parma defender Giovanni Leoni.
