In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Liverpool are keeping a keen eye on Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni. It has been claimed that the Reds would have to rival Tottenham Hotspur in the race to land the French talent this year.
Tchouameni has enjoyed a solid campaign at the Madrid club as he has put in a handful of impressive displays for them in the middle of the park. The French midfielder has featured in 28 matches for Los Blancos this season, securing one assist in the process across multiple competitions.
The 25-year-old is currently among the most consistent midfielders in La Liga. Therefore, Liverpool would do well to bring him to Anfield this January or at the end of this campaign.
His current contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will expire in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for the Reds to sign him on the cheap this year.

Tchouameni is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and is a tidy passer of the ball as well.
The French talent can even strike the ball with power from long range. Tchouameni is full of energy and running at the centre of the park. However, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Reds manage to sign him this year.
Tchouameni would add more bite and steel to Liverpool head coach Arne Slot’s midfield department. He is more than capable of earning a regular starting spot at Anfield in the coming years.
At 25, Tchouameni will only get better with each season. Therefore, the Merseyside club would be wise to try everything they can to acquire the services of the French midfielder in this winter transfer period or next summer. However, Slot has to give him some time to settle into life in England before he can get the best out of the gifted talent.
