Slot makes some huge selection calls
Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike will start alongside one another in Liverpool colours for the first time tonight as the Reds face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League.
The Reds have now lost four games in a row across all competitions, compounded by a first home league loss in a decade to long-time rivals Manchester United.
That run includes defeat in their previous European game, away at Galatasaray, and Slot will know he must turn the tide as soon as possible.
As Slot searches for solutions, Ekitike gets the nod against his former club alongside British-record striker Isak.
That means Mohamed Salah drops to the bench - a massive call from Slot.
Further back, Ryan Gravenberch was absent from training on Tuesday coming off against United with an ankle issue.
Curtis Jones will deputise, while Alexis Mac Allister, who is another to have struggled to replicate last season’s form, takes up a seat on the bench.
Milos Kerkezdrops out in favour of Andy Robertson, Ibrahima Konate starts ahead of Joe Gomez.
Liverpool starting XI vs Eintracht Frankfurt: Mamardashvili; Frimpong, Van Dijk, Konate, Robertson; Szoboszlai, Jones, Wirtz; Isak, Gakpo, Ekitike
