Mamelodi Sundowns have been dealt with a major blow ahead of their Betway Premiership clash against Orbit College on Tuesday (19h30).
The defending champions visit Rustenburg where maximum points will be at stake at the Olympia Park Stadium, with the business end of the 2025/26 campaign fast approaching.
Sundowns sit second, level on 44 points with log leaders Orlando Pirates as both teams are left with 11 league outings this season.
Miguel Cardoso's men will have to face the Mswenko Boys without the reliable services of in-form midfielder Jayden Adams.
The former Stellenbosch FC midfield maestro will be serving suspension after he was shown a straight red card for a malicious tackle in Downs' previous match against Golden Arrows.
Sundowns, however, have a plethora of quality players in their ranks, with Marcelo Allende expected to slot in for Adams.
Meanwhile, Orbit have no suspension concerns but will be eager to avoid defeat as they continue their fight against the drop.
Pogiso Makhoye's troops are in the Relegation/Promotion Playoff spot and level on 18 points with 14th-placed Marumo Gallants.
