Manchester City are eyeing Geronimo Rulli to replace James Trafford, according to transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano.

The Cityzens need a new goalkeeper with Trafford poised to join Leeds United and have their sights set on the Marseille man.

Rulli kept eight clean sheets in 29 Ligue 1 appearances for Marseille last season.

The 34-year-old would play second fiddle to Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is the first-choice goalkeeper after a brilliant first season in England.

Donnarumma took the starting berth and never relinquished it, much to Trafford’s frustration.

Man City are also trying to complete a deal for Moroccan midfield talent Ayyoub Bouaddi following a breakout 2026 World Cup campaign.

They need a defensive midfielder with Rodri poised to leave for Real Madrid. However, he will likely remain with Lille on loan for another season.

City also need a new right-back with Rico Lewis struggling badly for form. Matheus Nunes, a midfielder by trade, has been deputising.

They are reportedly eyeing Chelsea’s Malo Gusto, whom new manager Enzo Maresca worked with during his time at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian tactician is also looking to reunite with Pedro Neto if Man City sell Savinho. They are considering the Portuguese winger as a replacement.

With City losing manager Pep Guardiola, it will be interesting to see how they perform this season.

Maresca already has big boots to fill, and the transfer turnover may not help.
