A member of the attacking ranks at Manchester United has this week sent a message of support and encouragement the way of Barcelona winger Raphinha.
This of course comes fresh off something of a disappointing start to the week for the Brazilian.
Raphinha was for his part amongst the Barcelona delegation to have made its way to France’s capital of Paris this past Monday.
As much came with a view to attending the Ballon d’Or ceremony.
The 28-year-old was one of the standout players in world football over the last 12 months, boasting more combined goals and assists than any other Barca player en route to the club’s domestic treble in 2024/25.
Raphinha, in turn, was amongst the frontrunners to lift the Ballon d’Or.
In the end, however, the former Leeds United man was forced to make do with a 5th-placed finish in the voting.
As much has given rise to a flood of messages being sent the way of Raphinha, assuring the attacker that he was deserving of more.
And joining those to have thrown their backing behind the Barcelona man over the last 24 hours was fellow countryman Matheus Cunha.
Taking to the comments section of Raphinha’s latest post on Instagram, Manchester United summer signing Cunha wrote:
