This weekend, Manchester City is proud to stand alongside the wider football community in support of the FA’s Play Safe campaign, reiterating the importance of safeguarding across every level of football.
The Play Safe campaign, taking place on 27 and 28 September 2025, is backed by the Premier League, EFL, Barclays Women’s Super League, and Barclays Women’s Championship for the fourth consecutive season and is led by The FA in partnership with the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).
This year’s theme ‘Small Talk is Bigger Than You Think’ focuses on giving young people a voice.
It’s a call to action for every adult in football to create open conversations, ask questions, and actively listen to children.
For the Club and City in the Community (CITC), safeguarding is a year-round commitment and shared responsibility that we embed into everything we do to ensure a safe, positive and inclusive environment for everyone involved.
Whether they are a two-year-old taking part in the City Play Together programme or a 75-year-old playing Walking Football, the Club works tirelessly to make City Football the safest place on the planet for anyone who wants to take part and our policy and practices are applicable to everyone involved.
The Club is committed to building a safer game so that everyone, everywhere feels safe at City. Always.
