Lammens moved to Old Trafford from Royal Antwerp last summer at a time when United were also linked to Emiliano Martinez.
The Transfer of the Season award, introduced for the first time this campaign, recognises the best bit of business done by any Premier League club.
Lammens fended off competition from Viktor Gyokeres, Rayan Cherki, Antoine Semenyo, Joao Pedro, Granit Xhaka, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Adrien Truffert to claim the honour.
While high-profile arrivals such as Benjamin Sesko drew the initial headlines for United, Lammens quietly established himself as the club’s most vital signing.
The Belgian made an immediate impact on his debut against Sunderland, keeping a clean sheet in a 2-0 victory.
Over his 32 top-flight appearances, during which United lost just four times, the ‘brilliant‘ Lammens averaged 2.5 saves per game at a 67 percent success rate.
He proved himself to be a reliable last line of defence as his side secured a third-place finish and Champions League football for the 2026/27 campaign.
He earned two Save of the Month nominations, notably for a spectacular acrobatic stop against Arsenal in January.
Lammens’ impressive displays earned him his senior international debut for Belgium in November, and he is now set to join them as a key figure at this summer’s FIFA World Cup.
He has proven to be an absolute bargain for United at just £18.1 million.
