Manchester United are interested in signing Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi this summer, according to French journalist Abdellah Boulma.

Man United have made numerous attempts to meet with the representatives of the highly-rated 18-year-old Frenchman.

The Red Devils are even considering enlisting the support of their former manager Sir Alex Ferguson to convince Bouaddi to move to the Old Trafford club.

Man United are not the only ones keen on the teenage sensation as Arsenal and Bayern Munich are also looking to snap him up.

They are looking to replace the outgoing Casemiro, and Bouaddi has emerged as a target.

He has made 39 appearances for Lille this term and can also play at right-back, with dribbling and tackling his major strengths.

Leaving his club may not appeal to the Man United target right now as he is playing regularly and developing as expected.

Lille could also qualify for the Champions League next term and the opportunity to play in the elite European competition again for his childhood club would be very tempting.

Paris Saint-Germain are also long-term admirers of Bouaddi, which is why the Red Devils are hoping Ferguson could help play a role in convincing him.

He has been a regular starter for Lille and it appears Man United see him as someone capable of coming in and making an immediate impact.

They are building for the future and a midfield duo of Bouaddi and Kobbie Mainoo has the potential to become one of the best partnerships in the world.

The 21-year-old academy graduate Mainoo recently signed a new contract that will extend his stay with the club until June 2031.

20-year-old Leny Yoro and 19-year-old Ayden Heaven are seen as Man United’s long-term centre-back partners, and adding Bouaddi to the squad could be huge for the club’s future.
