Sunderland and Leeds United have been linked with Fulham winger Harry Wilson, whose contract is nearing its end, and his decision could hinge on Marco Silva's future.

BBC Sport reported two weeks ago that Wilson would prefer clarity on Silva, who is also out of contract this summer, before deciding on any new deal at Craven Cottage.

Fulham vice-chairman Tony Khan sounded optimistic over Silva's prospects, saying: "I absolutely want Marco to be here for a long time. I think he will be, and I believe that." The comments were made to talkSPORT.

Whether Silva stays remains unclear, and any knock-on effect for Wilson is likewise uncertain. If that proves accurate and Khan's hopes are realised, the winger's anticipated exit could be thrown into doubt.

Everton and Crystal Palace have also been linked, and a free transfer is possible if no agreement is reached.
