Leading the line for a reshaped France, Marcus Thuram scored his third international goal in the friendly against Colombia in Landover, in the Washington suburbs.
As reported by L'Équipe, the Inter Milan forward ended a long barren spell with the national team.
In the 41st minute, he headed in Maghnes Akliouche's pinpoint left-footed cross, capitalising on a risky charge from goalkeeper Alvaro Montero.
The drought had spanned 17 consecutive caps, totalling 961 minutes and 38 shots without scoring. His previous strike came against Gibraltar in November 2023, a 14-0 win.
With this goal he moves past his father Lilian, who scored two for France in 142 caps as a right back. His brother Khephren has yet to score in 4 senior appearances.
