Former West Brom coach Martin Drury is now steering Huddersfield Town’s League One promotion bid, with the Terriers seventh and well placed for a play-off spot.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, Drury served under Carlos Corberan at West Brom after starting as a Doncaster youth and playing in non-league, then moving into non-league coaching and taking interim charge at Bradford City.
He later worked in Manchester United’s academy before arriving at Albion in August 2024 to replace Michael Hefele. After six months he left as Corberan moved to Valencia, taking him, the goalkeeping coach and the assistant manager.
That summer he returned from Spain to join Keith Andrews’ coaching staff at Brentford, though he exited two months later.
In January this year he joined Liam Manning’s backroom team at Huddersfield as one of two additions. In March, with Manning on compassionate leave, the 40-year-old and former Premier League striker Jon Stead were appointed interim managers until season’s end.
