Matheus Bidu equals second-most assists for Corinthians in 2026 after Flamengo draw | OneFootball

Matheus Bidu’s assist in the 1-1 draw with Flamengo moved him joint second in Corinthians’ 2026 assist chart. The left-back set up Yuri Alberto as the sides shared the points at Neo Química Arena on Sunday night.

According to Meu Timao, Bidu now has two assists this year, level with Kaio César and behind Rodrigo Garro on three.

The equaliser arrived on 19 minutes of the first half after Corinthians had fallen behind. Memphis Depay slipped a pass over the top for Bidu on the left, he controlled and squared low for Alberto to beat goalkeeper Rossi in Itaquera.

Since joining in January 2023, Bidu has produced 10 assists and nine goals in 137 matches, with 110 starts. His record in that span is 63 wins, 33 draws and 41 defeats.

He was the first outfield player in the squad to surpass 1,000 minutes this season, underlining his importance to Dorival Júnior’s set-up. His run in the side also reflects the absence of Hugo Farias, who is recovering from right knee surgery.

Corinthians’ 2026 assist list reads: Garro three, Bidu and Kaio César two, then on one apiece Gustavo Henrique, Vitinho, Ryan, Memphis Depay, Yuri Alberto, Dieguinho, Matheuzinho and Pedro Raul.

After the FIFA international break, Corinthians visit Fluminense at the Maracanã on 1 April in round nine of the league.
