Max Moerstedt signs new long-term Hoffenheim contract

TSG Hoffenheim have extended striker Max Moerstedt’s contract.
The club said in a statement that the 19-year-old’s deal is long term, with the exact duration undisclosed, and that the announcement included remarks from managing director for sport Andreas Schicker and from Moerstedt.
The statement praised Hoffenheim’s academy pathway and noted Moerstedt’s international pedigree at elite youth level, plus outings in the Bundesliga and Europa League. It said he had been introduced carefully to senior football and made the most of his opportunities. It expressed confidence in his considerable potential and welcomed his long-term contribution to the squad.
It also relayed Moerstedt’s gratitude for the club’s trust and described Hoffenheim as an ideal environment for his development on and off the pitch. Despite interest from other clubs, he chose to continue his journey in Sinsheim. He aims to keep establishing himself at professional level and help the team.
Moerstedt has scored three goals in 32 appearances for Hoffenheim to date.
