The club said in a statement on Thursday that head coach Míchel Sánchez will not continue at Girona next season.
His coaching staff, Salva Fúnez, Juan Carlos Balaguer and David Porcel, are also leaving.

He departs after five seasons that brought promotion to Primera, a third-place finish and Champions qualification, but the campaign ends with relegation to Segunda.
Girona expressed sincere thanks for his dedication, commitment and professionalism, and for his respectful, approachable manner with members, supporters, the board and all club employees.
He leaves as the greatest coach in the club’s history, a clear before and after. His football, humility and ties to the city resonated, as did his bond with the Catalan language. At Montilivi he was known as 'Míchel català'.
