Milan plot to find a physical goal poacher in the summer, fulfilling one of the first requests by coach Massimiliano Allegri. Adding Niclas Fullkrug didn’t do the trick in January, and the acquisition of Jean-Philippe Mateta from Crystal Palace fell through at the 11th hour.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri are canvassing the market. Moise Kean and Dusan Vlahovic are on their radar, but they are very expensive, because of a release clause in the first case and due to his salary in the second one.
Milan are tracking Serhou Guirassy, who’s under contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2028. They had chased after him before he transferred for €18M in 2024. He has scored 54 goals in 86 matches with his present club.
The Rossoneri probed Nicolas Jackson last summer, who moved from Chelsea to Bayern Munich on loan. The Bavarians won’t buy him out for €67M. He has hit the 5 times in 22 appearances so far. They are no strangers to making deals with the Blues.
Their officials might inquire about Mateo Retegui and Darwin Nunez, even though they headed to Saudi Arabia for massive fees and earn a lot. The latter fell out of favor following the arrival of Karim Benzema.
While Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic will have to be handled carefully with a busier schedule, they should make a splash for a no.9 only if they are committed to using a trident consistently, which would force them to renounce either a center-back or Alexis Saelemaekers. Otherwise, they are fine as is. They can settle with Fullkrug or somebody of that ilk if they turn to a more aggressive scheme only sporadically.
