Milan will hold a series of meetings with potential new head coaches and directors this week, but advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic and potential technical director Ralf Rangnick already have different visions for the club’s future according to the latest updates.
Milan failed to qualify for the Champions League on the final day of the 2025-26 season and the club decided to part company with head coach Massimiliano Allegri, sporting director Igli Tare, technical director Geoffrey Moncada and CEO Giorgio Furlani the day after as a result.
Now into June, Milan are still without a senior management team and supporters have been left concerned about the lack of stability coming from the board room.
The appointment of a new head coach has been a hot topic of discussion in Rossoneri circles. Milan are due to meet with departing Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner on Tuesday and reports from Calciomercato.com confirm that there will be talks with Al-Ahli head coach Matthias Jaissle later this week as well.
Glasner is available for free given that he is leaving Palace at the end of his contract, while Al-Ahli are expected to demand around €6m in compensation to free Jaissle, who remains under contract for another year.

Both Glasner and Jaissle are coaches from the Rangnick stable. Glasner’s first break in management came as an assistant at RB Salzburg while Rangnick was director of football at the Red Bull Group.
Rangnick also signed a young Jaissle from VfB Stuttgart while he was in charge of TSG Hoffenheim in 2007, and the now 38-year-old also began his coaching career at RB Salzburg following a brief spell in charge of feeder club FC Liefering.
Glasner and Jaissle are the two coaches that Rangnick has reportedly recommended to take charge of Milan. Milan are due to speak to Rangnick in the coming days, and the German will discuss his future with the Austrian FA within the next week as well.

Ibrahimovic, meanwhile, is said to be the one pushing for the appointment of Arne Slot, who was let go by Liverpool over the weekend.
Ibrahimovic and Slot are both represented by the same agent, Rafaela Pimenta.
