Rafael Guanaes was Mirassol’s standout as his side beat Vasco, a sharp, high-pressing display in the Brasileirão.
According to Globo.com, Mirassol fell behind, Renato Marques levelled, and Eduardo completed the turnaround after the interval.
Goalkeeper Walter made four saves, two from close range, and the strike he conceded was unstoppable. He misjudged a back-pass but recovered before it crossed the line.
At the back, Igor Formiga was assured. Willian Machado dominated his duels and used the ball well, while João Victor lost an aerial to Philippe Coutinho in the move for Vasco’s goal before settling despite a head knock.
In midfield, Yuri Lara impressed against his former club, misplacing only one of 30 passes. Neto Moura maintained control with near-faultless passing before going off, and Aldo Filho came on to good effect, completing all his passes.
Eduardo was the pick, knitting play with a standout first-half ball and then scoring the winner before being replaced. Reinaldo offered thrust with two incisive passes and helped relieve pressure in the build-up.
Up front, Renato Marques led the line and grabbed the equaliser, though his passing radar was off before he was withdrawn early in the second half. Negueba worked tirelessly but missed a good chance, Alesson won the ball for the second goal then went off injured, and late arrivals Everton Galdino, Nathan Fogaça, and Galeano had minimal impact, with Fogaça booked.
