Monaco shortlist Leicester City’s Boubakary Soumaré | OneFootball

AS Monaco have added Leicester City midfielder Boubakary Soumaré (26) to their shortlist for this January, according to a report from Fabrizio Romano. The former France youth international is a long-term target for the Principality club.

Soumaré’s name is one very often linked to the Principality club in recent windows. Monaco may be in the market for midfield reinforcements, given that Paul Pogba has so far failed to regularly feature. Soumaré’s contract at Leicester City runs until the end of the season. So far this season, he has made 15 appearances in all competitions for the Foxes. He has assisted two goals in that time.

However, he could be on the move this month, with his contract nearing expiry. Romano understands that Monaco have added him to their shortlist. He would bring extra depth to a midfield that already contains Lamine Camara, currently competing at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and Denis Zakaria, as well as academy products Aladji Bamba and Mamadou Coulibaly.
