The 29-year-old was one of Derby County's best players last term

Derby County have enjoyed an overwhelmingly positive summer following their Championship survival last term.
John Eustace has recruited profiles such as Patrick Agyemang, Rhian Brewster and Carlton Morris, with his squad looking much stronger heading into next season when compared to the one that ended the 2024/25 campaign.
The Rams will naturally be hoping to use their new talent to fight much higher up the table and could have an outside shot at the play-offs.
However, a few key decisions could see Derby’s summer end on a negative note.
Football League World’s Derby County fan pundit, Shaun Woodward, has highlighted one key situation the Rams must not allow to develop in the final stages of the transfer window.
“My worst fear would be selling Ebou Adams,” stated Shaun. “There has been speculation among the fan base that he might be off.
“I hope it's not true but sometimes these rumours appear for a reason. It has been suggested that he doesn't fit John Eustace’s system, which I find bizarre because he made him captain.
“He was an absolute colossus last season, but we have signed a few good attacking midfielders and are still potentially in for Lewis Travis as well.
“He's obviously looking in that area to strengthen. I can't imagine we'd sell him, but you just never know.
“I think if that happened, then a lot of our fans would be absolutely gutted because he's the heartbeat of the team.
“But there have been rumours that he might be off because we could make a decent profit on him. I hope I'm wrong, but you just never know in football and if the right price comes in he might go.
“But I just couldn't imagine Derby without him.”
Adams was one of Derby’s standout performers last season, so it’s no surprise that Derby supporters would be gutted to see him exit the club.
The midfielder was top of the league’s list for tackles (99) and duels won (352), highlighting the level he was performing at.
Pete O'Rourke has suggested that several Championship clubs have taken a liking to the 29-year-old, which means that a Pride Park exit for Adams isn’t out of the question.
Dominic Dietrich has stated that there is no willingness from Derby to sell, with the player vital to Eustace’s plans next term.
