Leeds United Under-21s go into tonight’s crucial National League Cup tie looking to build on last time out’s emphatic win over Scunthorpe United, as they aim to retain their crown.

Ahead of the clash at the Shay with West Yorkshire rivals FC Halifax Town, boss Scott Gardner has made three changes to the team that beat Athletic Club B previously.

Rory Mahady and Jayden Lienou both return from international duty and are welcomed back into the lineup whilst Logan White, following his well taken goal against Bilbao, gets the nod on the wing.

Mahady and Lienou are joined in the backline by Will Firth, experienced mentor Jonny Howson and Jacob Howard, behind midfield trio Alfie Cresswell, Ollie Pickles and Connor Douglas.

White starts on the left flank, alongside Jacob Render who leads the line and Scotland youth international Josh McDonald.

On the bench, keeper Darryl Ombang is joined by Devon Brockie, Louie Dudley, Louie Philpott and Luke Matykiewicz.
