Neymar and Gabigol absent as Santos name squad to face Cruzeiro | OneFootball

Santos have named a 24-man squad for the trip to Cruzeiro on Sunday, with kick-off at 16:00 at Mineirão in the eighth round of the Brasileirão. According to Diario Do Peixe, the club released the list ahead of the match.

Only 23 can be selected on the day, so one player will miss out. The group includes three goalkeepers, five centre-backs, three full-backs, eight midfielders and five forwards.

Four are unavailable. Neymar is undergoing load management and injury prevention, Gabriel Barbosa and Lautaro Díaz cannot play against their parent club, and Miguelito is with the Bolivia national team.

Zé Rafael returns after recovering from muscular oedema in the right thigh semimembranosus. Gabriel Bontempo is also back following a lumbar contracture.

Goalkeepers: Gabriel Brazão, Diógenes and Rodrigo Falcão. Centre-backs: Lucas Veríssimo, Luan Peres, Adonis Frias, Zé Ivaldo and João Ananias.

Full-backs: Igor Vinicius, Escobar and Rafael Gonzaga. Midfielders: Willian Arão, Christian Oliva, João Schmidt, Gustavo Henrique, Gabriel Bontempo, Tomás Rincón, Gabriel Menino and Rollheiser. Forwards: Barreal, Moisés, Robinho Jr, Rony and Thaciano.
