Neymar celebrates Santos qualification and connection with travelling fans after 2-0 at Coritiba | OneFootball

Santos reached the Copa do Brasil last 16 with a 2-0 win at Coritiba on Wednesday night. Neymar created the opener and spoke of unity with the travelling support.

According to Diario Do Peixe, he highlighted the backing of the fans in Curitiba after full-time.

At Couto Pereira, he set up Gabriel Bontempo to break the deadlock, then Adonis Frías added the second.

The result sends Santos into the round of 16, and they will await the end of the fifth phase to learn the other qualifiers. The CBF will conduct the draw later, with ties scheduled for the second half of the year.

Next up is another meeting with Coritiba in the Campeonato Brasileiro, on Sunday 17 at 11:00 Brasília time at Neo Química Arena.

Beyond club duty, Neymar awaits Brazil's final World Cup call-up. Carlo Ancelotti will announce the squad on 18, and the forward is on the preliminary list.
