Neymar says he plans to honour his Santos contract through December 2026, though his next move remains undecided.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the forward spoke on Monday as he arrived at the Instituto Neymar Jr charity auction. He is not considering retirement and remains focused on the current campaign.

He stopped short of committing to stay beyond 2026, saying he will decide only as his deal nears its end and that he intends to honour Santos as best he can.

After the contract expires, he will evaluate all options, including staying, leaving or even ending his career. He said he does not yet know which path he will take, noting there is time until December.

He added that he feels physically well and prefers to go step by step, game by game, concentrating on the next fixtures.

Neymar returned to Santos in January 2025. At 34 and in his second season since returning, he has played 46 matches, scoring 19 goals with eight assists.
